About me
Hi I’m Jess and I have 22 years of childcare experience and knowledge.
Over the previous years I have been a Nanny and a School Nurse Assistant. For the past 6 years I have been enjoying working as a Community Nursery Nurse with the Health Visitor Team. I have worked in children’s’ nurseries and I have achieved my Makaton certificate.
I am also a trained baby massage teacher and hold a certificate that allows me to teach from newborns. I am starting a new career within the NHS and will work with mums and babies in the community.
I have helped and worked with children and families to establish good sleep hygiene and routines, the support sleep techniques are science based evidence. I love to hear feedback knowing that my knowledge has helped baby and families to all enjoy sleep again.
I know how important sleep is mentally, physically and emotionally. Good quality sleep is needed for good health and development. As I enjoy supporting families so much with sleep support and with a keen interest in the science behind sleep, I decided to qualify as a child Sleep Practitioner. I hold an approved level 6 Sleep Practitioner certificate from studying with London School of Childcare Studies.
I will actively listen and work collaboratively with your family’s wishes and values to improve sleep outcomes. My approach is the gentle method and having unique personalised goals per child. I work with 4/5months old and up.
I carried out a few night shifts when training to be a nurse, allowing my sleep routine and pattern to go out of sync so I can personally relate to the short and long term effects this has on your body such as a feeling of jetlag, less concentration and so on.
I hope I can help you feel refreshed again after some good quality sleep. Feel free to book a free discovery call to see if we feel we can work together.
